Applying Auspicious Symbology
To Stimulate Your Eight Mansions

Fu Wei: Stability

Fu Wei is the 4th benign star in the Eight Mansions Feng Shui system. Many Asian Feng Shui Masters use Fu Wei to activate the Academic or Scholarly luck of an individual.

Fu Wei can bring calmness and tranquility to the individual when properly activated. For those seeking balance in their lives, they should empower their Fu Wei to give them stability and confidence in pursuing their daily activities.

To activate your Fu Wei (Stability) sector with Auspicious symbology, you can place:

  • The Dragon Headed Tortoise
Eight Mansions Feng Shui have strong roots in the study of the Luo Shu Magic Square. This Luo Shu, or better known as the Dragon Headed Tortoise, emerged from the River Lo. The markings on its back was the basis of the Later-Heaven Ba Gua where all forms of Yang Feng Shui was derived.

The symbology of the Dragon Headed Tortoise to the Chinese culture is vast. One of its main features is its protective and stabilizing nature. Thus Feng Shui Masters often recommend that the Dragon Headed Tortoise  can use used to symbolically activate the Fu Wei Star.
  • Kuan Kung
Kuan Kung is also known as the God of Literature. In oriental countries, especially Taiwan and Hong Kong, those families who yearn for their children to achieve excellence in their scholarly pursuits worship Kuan Kung.

For officials or corporate players who wish to strengthen their status or position, the God of Literature, Kuan Kung is often the preferred method of activating the Fu Wei position.
  • The Tortoise
Tortoises are traditionally believed to symbolize longevity, protection and stability. It is quite common that Feng Shui Masters advocate the Tortoises to be used to enhance the effects of the Fu Wei star.
  • China Ware or Clay Objects
These objects emit a reasonable amount of Earth Chi, and can be useful for the Nien Yin Star Alternatively, you may use the Metal Element to strenghten the Nien Yin star (which is also Metal). For those who wish to advocate the Five Element Theory in activating their Fu Wei star, you can use the Element of Water. According to strict Feng Shui principles, the Fu Wei is related to the "Fu Pu" Star, which is of the element of Wood. And following the Five Element theory, Wood is produced by Wood. Thus to employ the use of Water or Wood in enhancing your Fu Wei, you can use:
  • Indoor Plants
Live plants exert quite a strong amount of Wood Chi. It is useful to note that furniture, which is also made of wood, but exerts much lesser wood influence because they represent "processed" wood, and therefore lacks the natural energies
